The Woman Behind the Artifacts
Hi! I am Michele. I currently live in Lakewood, Colorado with my husband, son, and big yellow dog. I have dedicated my life to studying the ancient past and it is my passion to share this knowledge with the world. I work as a museum curator where I care for archaeological collections from around the world. I also direct various archaeological projects and have had the opportunity to work in Peru, Bolivia, Chile, China, France, and in the Southwest and Northeast USA. Working both with old collections that haven't been touched in decades and running new excavations allow me to continuously make and share new discoveries, which couldn't be more exciting! Although I am a science nerd by day, I love to hike, run, bike, ski, camp and enjoy all the nature and outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer. I also love a well-prepared meal paired with a glass of vino, bluegrass dance parties, and when not in a pandemic, hanging out with friends and my extended family. In the practice of exploring new things, I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2020 and can often be found on my yoga mat or teaching. If I could live by one motto in life it would be: Show up and be your authentic self everyday.
